we are animals, so the characteristic 'lower life form' is certainly not an animal characteristic. In fact, we've learned over the last few decades that so called 'lower life forms' are often highly adapted and capable of things we're not - like living in superheated water, for example.

All animals 1)breathe, 2) grow, 3) eat 4) eliminate waste 5) reproduce 6) are multicellular 7) adapt to their environment 8) have muscle 9)move and 10) have sense organs 11)learn from past experience.

They are a lower life form. Mate by insticnt. Migration and movement is by instinct. Indigenious to certain areas and climates. Can die by fear without being physically attacked. Can be influenced by enviroment such as light, darkness, heat, and cold. They are cameoflagued to protect themselves or to hunt. Animals can become dependent on humans (domesticated.) Sense danger before it happens(like a 6th sense.). Many species have heightened senses.
