Hi guy guy. Look, I am no expert, but given your size and workout, this seems low to me. Go get yourself some men's firness magazines. They have good advice for diet and exercise. You can but them at any big news stand. Don't make yourself sick. And, by the way, if you do join up, be careful out there, ok?

How much time do you have before Basic? There is nothing more miserable than getting to Basic and qualifying to get in, but still being run down by the drill sgts because you've got more weight to lose. If you need to lose it in a hurry but want to be healthy try the Cambridge diet. It's 420 calories per day but contains 100% of your daily nutrition. They have multiple variations of the plan available depending on your lifestyle and how fast you'd like to lose weight. It's inexpensive, has been around for over 30 years, is FDA approved and tastes great! I've lost a lot of weight on it and I wish I'd known about this before I joined the Army (WAY back in the day. LOL!) See the link below for a reputable dealer. You can't buy this in stores, most purchase over the internet through an independent distributor. You will lose weight doing what you're doing, however, don't lose "just enough" to get in or you will sooooooooooooo regret it. Get as close to your ideal weight as you can, otherwise it will be a terrible experience. When you get closer to your time to go in, post again for advice from current and former military on how best to get through Basic and AIT. The advice can make a world of difference.

nooo breakfast is very important total cerial or a cup of oatmeal with 2 egg whites (best) would be really good though. Banana/fruit is nature's carb/sugar with a little vitamin b and fiber thrown in. Frozen dinners also have a high sodium count which too much sodium makes your body retain water with not much nutrition. Here is a good healthy grocery list http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/stella9a.htm
up your jog to 3 miles unless your goin NAVY then don't jog at all .... sorry Marine joke... yeah moving on.... lastly drink 1gal of water a day to help flush your system and will lower the amount of water your body naturally retains. Tuna, egg whites, and chicken breast should be your new best friend and eat 4-5 small meals through the day vs. 3

Sounds good as far as eating smaller portions at mealtime. Keep check on how many peanuts you eat, can be fatting. Try eating boiled chicken with rice, rice has carbs you can burn while exercising.
