I suggest treating it internally with all-natural Optiflora. This will treat the cause and not just the symptoms.
This two-product system uses new technology to protect beneficial microflora during the rigors of shipping, storage, and the acidic journey through your stomach. Other products claim live microflora at the time of manufacture. Optiflora guarantees the delivery of live microflora to your intestines.
This two-product system includes Probiotic (Bifidus & Acidophilus...microflora) + Prebiotic (FOS...food source for microflora). Patented guaranteed delivery of 500 million microflora to intestines.
Also might want to consider the following:
GLA Complex: IMPORTANT for all skin disorders
Garlic Complex: detoxification; increases capillary circulation; speeds tissue healing
B-Complex: improved nutrient absorption

Psoriasis is an immune disorder, and essentially causes the body to speed through its own tissues. That said, I've only found treatments, not cures. Some do work pretty well.
I've had two sets of things really work on my psoriasis. The first is a combination of Donovex and Triamcinolone Acetonide. These two ointments, mixed together, can usually knock it down in a week or two with applications several times a day. Overused or out of balance, these can also damage your skin. I usually use these only for a few days at a time, usually when I've neglected the psoriasis for a bit.
For scalpal psoriasis, I like Loprox shampoo, also called ciclopirax. It is very effective, and I've yet to have a single bad side effect from it.
The other combination is the Reactivating Body Serum and Hydrating Body lotion from Arbonne's NutriMin C RE9 line of products. I apply them less often as well, usually after I shower in the morning and then before bed at night. I actually think that these work better.
Arbonne's thermal fusion hair and scalp revitalizer is when I use on my scalp when I run out of Loprox, before I can grab another bottle of it. I use the Arbonne stuff after Head and Shoulder's, and it works pretty well.
Getting rid of psoriasis altogether is possible, in a temporary way. There is a series of immuno-suppressive shots that you can give yourself that knock down your immune system, which causes the psoriasis to stay away. It's worked wonders for my mother, who has psoriasis-related joint problems too.
However, it does knock down one's immune system, which means that anytime you get so much as a cold, you have to stop taking the shots or else you'll have extreme difficulty recovering. It can also make it a pain if you are often cut (even papercuts) and infections can set in more easily. Needless to say, this solution is not normally given unless you have a major psoriasis problem, usually involving the joints.
If you stop taking the shots, the psoriasis typically returns rather quickly.

I was diagnosed with psoriasis at age 14 and now I am 36 years old. You can say that I have tried just about every medicine both approved by FDA and trial without much success. Examples include Enbrel, Humira, oral meds, creams, oils, salts, coal tar, etc and the list is much more extensive that I can't even remember all of the names. But recently after someone shared this video https://tr.im/psoriasisTreatmentsDVWv everything has changed. My psoriasis completely cleared by putting these changes in place. I only wish I'd taken photos of before and after because it truly has been miraculous. I am getting married in Oct, 2015 and I am wearing a strapless gown that also shows my back and I am confident (not like before) that my skin will be soft and pretty vs red and flakey.

Cure psoriasis starting today - even if your doctor or dermatologist says "it's impossible!"
I've just followed a guide called psoriasis free for life that completely cured me of this debilitating and embarrassing disease in less than a month!
Remember, this will not only treat the symptoms that you do see:
the red, inflamed itchy skin.
The silvery scales that seem to erupt for no reason.
The burning or bleeding that occurs around your joints.
The cracking, oozing and painful patches on your skin.
But it also treats the underlying cause of psoriasis - the part you don't see - the actual immune system deficiency that causes these itchy patches to appear and scale over.
For more information, check here : http://Psoriasis.naturallysaver.com .
You can definitely get back your life, your confidence and your self esteem!

My mom has had it for many years and she could never get rid of it but keep your stress level down that seemed to help a bit with my mom. My daughter has eczema which isn't the same but the doc told me to use fragrance free and dye free laundry soap and to use Dove unscented body wash on her, and no fabric softener either. But to use good lotion that has no added fragrance to it, like Aquaphor, Eucerin, Cetaphil. Don't use lotion that contain water and or alcohol. Cosmetics also can be an irritant, also when going out side protect your skin. Also watch for dust mites, mold and bacteria this can also thrive and be an irritant, and avoid hot tubs. Hot showers can stimulate histamine that is released from the skin which can cause the itching and swelling and dryness, and when done showering don't dry just damp of excess water and leaves skin slightly damp. My daughters doc gave me this info which is also recommended for psoriasis. Hope it helps

I have psoriasis also. The best thing to do is to go to a dermotologist. I tried over the counter creams and shampoo that was supposed to help with psoriasis and it really didn't help. I went to a dermotologist and what he prescribed really clears it up, but depending on the severity of it, you may have to continue to use the creams prescribed on occasion. Hope this helps

You can use Dr Wheatgrass Recovery Cream or Spray. It's cream/spray derived from organically grown wheatgrass. These products work wonders and is very effective. Dr. Reynolds invented the product and has been successfully treating this patients since 1995 with these products. As far as allergic reactions go, this product is made from wheatgrass, the same thing that bread is made of. It's also gluten free. I believe it's approved for people of all ages (from infants to adults) because it's a natural product. You can check out his website for more information and testimonials

Aspirin when dissolved is really good on the skin, its a really good exfoliate and closes up my pores, apparently it is either salicylic acid or akin to that. You want to buy the dissolve-able or soluble type, and I use 4 which covers my whole face and neck, but if you just want to do say your nose, you can use less. They're not that expensive if you get the non-branded type, like 40p for 16. And yes steaming your face is a really good idea, either from the bath or shower, or if you have a steamer, or like someone else said, get a flannel and put it in warm to hot water, what ever your skin can tolerate, you don't want to scale yourself, and place that over your face for a few minutes which wil also open your pores. It would then be a good idea to use your aspirin face mask or an exfoliate to loosen the blackheads. Additionally closing your pores afterwards is equally important, you can use your flannel and cold water and place that over your face which will close the pores to stop additional one from occurring.
