South Beach Diet is the best diet - You can reduce so much weight in the first 2 weeks , that people will TELL you that you lost weight. Trust me, i didnt believe diets before, but was desperate and i found this to be best, and BEST THING about this diet is, that you DONT FEEL HUNGRY. Maybe cravings for sugar based items, but when you see the rewards, you will forget sugar!

South beach diet has 3 Phases.

Phase 1 (2 weeks) - You can eat fish, turkey and all LEAN meats. You Can also eat Nuts and Beans and Eggs and Milk, Sugar replacements can be used for Tea etc. Your not allowed any fruit, or sugar based item, or juices or any kind of carbohydrates, no pasta, no bread. You eat 3 full meals a day, with 2 or 3 snacks. Meals can be reasonable size to fill you, i advise use SALAD, as it fills you up and can taste great!

Phase 2 (2-3 Weeks) - You can start eating fruits, and some forms of carbs gradually. Please do a google search on south beach diet or go to www.prevention.com to find more details on this phase and other phases.

There are many reciepies available online for this diet too. I reccomend this diet as its Based on HEALTH and RESULTS! I am living proof!

To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. A diet without sufficient nutrients will only increase the appetite of the person trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan, additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles required to increase the metabolic rate required for long term weight loss. I have done weight watchers on and off for years. I've lost weight but then always gained it back quite rapidly during holidays and stressful times. About 3 months ago I started hypnotherapy --- I had 5 sessions. I have lost 2 stone without feeling like I've been on a diet or have been denying myself. It has been so easy and I still really enjoy all my food.
P.S. I have never done any other alternative therapies and was very skeptical about it all.

1. Work out 30-90 minutes a day at least 5 times a week
2. Eat a huge healthy breakfast. Like oatmeal with blueberries and flax bread toast with some sugar-free peanut butter (like Adams). Even try adding a little bit of flax in your oatmeal. Have a snack like a banana and brazil nuts. Then have a very large late lunch, like a big sandwich with a huge salad. Do not eat dinner. Repeat. This will put your body into "fast" mode at night while you are still getting all your calories. You may feel lethargic for a few days, but once your body gets used to it, you'll be right on your way.

Other tips:
Try to stay as natural as possible (ie: mayo is not very natural, so try to stay away). Berries are great fruits, they are very high in antioxidents and blah blah blah. Tropical fruits are highest in sugar. They are delicious and good for you, but just keep in mind, they are higher in sugar than say some strawberries. Stay away from useless calories, like pop, candies, anything with refined sugar. Stay away from bleached foods, like white bread, flour tortillas etc. Look at lables on food if you see stuff like "enriched" put it down and walk away.

Other breakfast ideas:
Rasin bran with banana's (try soy milk, it will give you protien and make you feel full).

And finally, make sure you eat enough! If you don't, you'll just gain back all the weight really fast!

Just eat a balanced diet, cut down out refined stuff i.e.white flour, white bread and sugar, saturated fats, alcohol etc. Your have to reduce weight slowly, two to three pounds a week. Don't go one faddy diets. You know yourself what is wrong with your diet there are enough programmes on the TV about them. Will Power and the desire to succeed. Be sensible !!!
