I am not in the veterinary field, however, I am a professional in Adult Education and I can say that it might be a good starting point, but good vet techs have plenty of lab experience before they leave college which you would not be able to get from an online program. You may be able to take your intro level courses online and transfer them, assuming that the online school is accredited but you would have to check with the school that you ultimately end up attending to find out what the restrictions are for transfer credits.

I am doing my Master's program at the University of Phoenix online. Any online schooling demands a lot more time than most people think. Most of the time you need to "attend" class online at least three or four days and you have to be dedicated and organized to get your work in on time.
It is a good program in the sense that if you are currently working, it allows for you to get a degree on your own time. If you are not working, I suggest you go to a typical college or university.

I'm currently attending Westwood College online. They are acredited. So far I've had a good experience with them. I don't know about Stratford though.

Im not sure if theyre accredited but most online colleges are legitimate. Like you said just check if theyre accredited. Some ones to look into are University of Phoenix for example, local community colleges and universities are increasingly offering online courses. In my opinion, the majority of people will be going to school online in the next ten years. Theres a lot of stigma still with it though. And yes you can get a career with an online degree, I got one.

A family friend takes these and says it is very difficult. A LOT of work adn you do alot of online team work. and that involves putting alot of trust into someone 1000 miles away. I would sugest real college. But Either is better then nothing.
