Theres this girl I really like at work. Though I havent informed her of my feelings yet, I think she has has a clear idea that I do like her. I asked her her birthday and remembered it nine months before I gave her a birthday present. Anyways, I know things are never going to work with between us because of the signals I get from her. I fear telling her coz I fear I might even lose her friendship. I will be leaving soon to my home country in a few months time and might never see her again. I bought her a wrist watch to keep as a memory. Should I tell her and leave or just leave without any explanation of a memory I gave her to keep?

I agree with everyone else. Tell her. The watch is a nice idea; kind of symbolic, meaning that in time to come you two might meet again, and if you two are meant to be together, a spark might strike then--I'd keep the symbolism thing to myself, though, because it might chase her away. You should tell her how you feel, though, before you leave, as a personal release for yourself; you don't want to have that pent up inside you, believe me.

You should tell her how you feel, especially if you are leaving anyway. The last thing that you need is the major "what if." So instead of spending the rest of your life going back to think about how your life could have been if you would have told her, go ahead and get it over with. The worst thing that she can say is that she doesn't like you like that.

ok if you care this much about this girl then let her know because if you don't you'll be kicking yourself in the *** for it later . tell her how u feel . you might be surprised of what she might tell you. take a chance life is to short not to. if she rejects then think of it not as a lose but as an accomplishment on letting her know how you feel. theres always others out there but you have to take a chance.

i dont think giving a wristwatch will make any difference to her.
from experience i doubt she will hold much value to it.
do yourself a favour, just tell her and give her something else, something she can use, maybe a cute paper weight.
thats my honest opinion. you wont feel like a fool for giving the watch if she says no, and it wont feel like your trying to "bribe" her
