The Bible is the name used by Jews and Christians for their differing (and overlapping) canons of sacred texts. Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodox and some others include books which Protestants do not, Judaism accepts the Tanakh (whose books are contained in the Christian Old Testament), not the New Testament, and Muslims may accept certain books concerning the prophets. So you have to be more specific on which Bible exactly you are refering to...The Christian or the Hebrew one?I believe that their writing recommended a kind of religious Constitution in both religions.

The bible is a publication of agreed upon stories that the Church uses to influence its member to act a certain way, ensuring that the church has influence in, and power over their lives.

If it was truely "straight from God," then why did the Catholic have not one, but two "grand high meetings" to VOTE on what should be in there and what should be officially left out?

The Old Testament is a book of Jewish laws and prophecies, the New Testament is a book of Christian mythology, written 200 years after Christ supposedly lived. But it was written to appeal to pagans, containing, for example, the mythology that Christ was born of a virgin and was resurrected from death -- the same mythology common to a number of Greek, Roman and Egyptian gods and goddesses.
