Relax and don't worry about. The staff know exactly what to check for and what can and cannot go into the MRI system.
Commonly for a knee scan, your knee will be placed in cylindrical structure called, unimaginatively, a knee coil, before you are slid into the bore of the magnet. Also they may use pads or something similar to make sure your knee doesn't move. In MRI scanning the area being scanned has to be in the center of the magnet (lengthwise) and hence while your knee may be in center, your head may be close to or indeed out of the MR magnet depending on your height and size of magnet. It is a lot less claustrophobic than a head scan.

No. They will just have you remove any metal. No earrings, belt buckles, bobby pins, etc... Are you having an open or closed MRI? I've had a closed one. Some people say it makes them nervous, but it didn't bother me at all. If you have a closed one, just lay there and relax. Nothing to it. You'll hear some little noises. They usually play some music for you. I asked for none. I don't get enough quiet time as it is! (-:

my wife just had one this last Friday no problem live your life, they will ask you to remove jewelry and other items . If you have had one of the new type stents be sure to tell them. Should of received a card from your heart doctor if you had, then show to them.

Make sure you do not wear a watch or any jewelry when you have it done. That's all.
