I am a Trekkie, and I am a Christian.
Yes, the crew of the Enterprise did indeed believe in a God. There was even an episode that depicted the time of the Romans, in which there was a small group of people being persecuted by the "Romans" who were called "Sun Worshippers"...until the end, when Lt. Uhura realized that they weren't "Sun Worshippers", but "Son Worshippers".....

First of all I am not a christian, muslim, jew or any of the religions on the planet, I am a human being who tries to always live a decent life.

In the original series as in all that followed "humanity" had gotten over most of the fighting when it came to religion. There were episodes that dealt with religion on other planets which of course were allegorical to here on earth now. While there may not have been a need to fight religious wars on the Earth of the Federation, religions where practiced by many of the crew, including Spock. Star Trek also dealt with the issue of god in its movie the Undiscovered Country. So yes is the answer to your question. The belief in god did not close their minds to other peoples living their own lives (though they did play a little fast and loose with the Prime Directive just like people do). Belief in the "teachings" of the bible should not negate the search for answers - if you believe in god then you believe he gave you the brains and the where-with-all to think and learn and grow - Yes god wanted us to fly so he made us smart enough to figure it out when the time came.

I like the shows but I wouldn't call myself a 'Trekkie' (no memorabilia, no conventions) and I am an Agnostic.

Religion was only mentioned sporadically and the only one I really remember with religious customs was Spock's Vulcan ones. There was also an episode where they had a Greek god & goddess base. Otherwise I don't remember any.

Gene Roddenberry was an atheist so I don't think religion would have been brought into it that much.

The original crew from the first series seemed to believe in God. The rest of them were all Agnostics...

There was one episode where the crew was dealing with a civilization that they thought were sun worshippers...then by then end of the show they realized that the people were Son worshippers.

As in the Son of God

I don't think that Star Trek generally dealt with the subject of heresy, and I'm not a fan of the show, but I think they should have. I'd like to hear what kind of "space god" theologians would whip up. There would at least have to be some interesting physics behind it, since "good=up" and "bad=down" wouldn't cut it anymore.

heh...the Original Series tried really hard to fall away from religion...and when they did discuss religion it was a cultural description or ended up being an Alien that took refuge on the planet like Apollo.

Personally, I am a happy lil' pagan, and an old trekker.

I'm agnostic.

I do remember one episode where Kirk says that Earth generally finds one god enough. So looks like they were mono-theists but beyond that, nothing I can remember.
