which room depends on your house and situation - the cat should always have access to it.

I use "the worlds greatest cat litter" and i love it. It seems to control odors the best of all the cat litters i've used.

Clean it daily, and once a month replace all the litter and scrub the box.

Keep it in the garage unless you entertain there often, or take the cabinet doors off the cabinet under your bathroom sink and put it there. Do use a hooded or lidded box if your cat(s) will tolerate it; some have charcoal-activated filters. Use Tidy Cat Multiple Cat instant or long-lasting odor control -- they're the best and don't smell like cheap perfume. Start with about a 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 inch layer, and add a little every day or two, scooping and removing solids if possible. Change it often, using a thick liner so that you don't get scratch-through problems and the plastic litter box itself does not become impregnated with smell.

I keep my litter box in the bathroom. Having a lid on it deffinately helps with the smell. Another thing I do is put the entrance about a foot away from the wall, facing the wall. I also use Fresh Step cat litter, which works great for my 3 cats.

Hooded cat litter box. But when you take the top off it will stink really bad! Well, that is if you haven't cleaned it in a while. Don't forget that some cats are very picky and if you let the box go for too long the cat may decide to go somewhere else.

We have our litter box in the kitchen, but facing away from the kitchen itself kinda in a little hall connecting with the living room, so it's on lino. And one foot away from the garbage can, which is uber-handy. Use clumping cat litter, take out the lumps EVERY day, with one cat, change litter about every three weeks or so - depending on their habits. After you clean out the lumps, keep a box of baking soda handy, and sprinkle on. Using a litter box with a cover is also helpful. Remember to sweep frequently.

Put it in a room without carpet cause then if they do mess outside of litter box it is easier to clear up. Laundry rooms are usually a good place or near the back door. Pick a room where you can leave a window open this helps with odours.

The best room is the utility room. It is usually away from the rest of the house. As for odor. Change frequently and put a layer of baking soda in the bottom of the pan before you put the littler in. You can also put baking soda on top of the litter if unable to change it right away

I put the litter box in my laundry room... I do laundry daily so there is no bad odor... you can also buy the litter that prevents odo... Clean the litter box daily to help avoid smell... fully clean it every other week... That's what I do... I only have 1 cat though, you may need to clean it more often if you have multiple cats....

Put it in the bathroom. You could always get one of the automatic cleaning litter boxes, they work really well. Or instead of litter, you could get the beads that go in the litter box. They also hide the smell well.
