Amaretto Prawns
Yield: 4 Servings
Ingredients
16 large prawns
2 tb butter
3/4 ts finely grated lemon peel
1/2 ts finely grated orange peel
2 tb freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 tb freshly squeezed orange juic
3 tb brandy
2 ts amaretto liqueur
3/4 c heavy cream
1 salt & white pepper
Instructions
Shell prawns, leaving tails intact, and devein.
Melt butter in a large skillet. Add prawns and cook
for 4-5 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside. Mix
together the lemon and orange peel, lemon and
orange juice, brandy, and Amaretto and bring to a boil
in the pan. Add heavy cream and continue cooking until
slightly reduced and thick enough to coat the
prawns. Return the prawns to the pan and cook until
heated. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Arrange
the prawns, four to a plate, in a circular fashion
with the tails pointing in. Mask with the sauce.
Serve immediately.

The horseradish and ketchup is called cocktail sauce. It's used mainly for chilled shrimp or prawns when you are eating them as appetizers. I think the asker is looking for some thing a little different and more suitable for dinner. Please don't insult everyone elses recipes. With so much cooking knowledge in your family, you should have known that.

Wow have I got a good recipe for you. shell prawns and 2-3 tsp. of Oil heat up in your frying pan. add 1tsp. chili powder ,1 tsp.ginger paste and a few drops Tabasco sauce. Stir prawns into and stir for 4 min. Viola finish.

1/4 cup cream
1/4 cup tomato sauce (ketchup)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons brandy
3 drops Tabasco sauce
salt and pepper
Whip cream lightly.
Combine remaining ingredients, then fold whipped cream through the sauce gently.

1-2 Tsp Worcestershire sauce
1-2 Tsp Brown sugar
2 tsp Red Pepper or Tabasco
You can add more or less sugar and/or hot sauce depending on your taste. My family likes it sweet and very hot

1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Makes 1 1/2 cups dressing. Chill well.

50% Dijon Mustard, 50% Plain unsweetened yogurt, a little bit off fresh Ginger (very little), and just a drip of Soy Sauce... mix it warm, and you will impress your guests.. can't get easier as this !
It is not only delicious, but almost non caloric
