If you believe god created all, has a plan, watches over, and does nothing while millions of innocents are slaughtered and abused, how can you call such a thing anything other than the personification of evil?

Or, is it that you believe that by way of birth, you are of the select chosen while the lives of others are for you to gain a lesson? (This seems not only evil but also arrogant to me.)

If you take from your religious texts the messages of peace, respect, and tolerance, I'm with you all the way so please don't mistake my question as one that's anti-faith. It's not.

I don't blame "god" for anything. I hold people responsible for their actions, including those who use the Bible as an excuse for their prejudices, acts of intolerance and aggression.

According to another answer in answers.yahoo.com, God killed 2,034,338 people, including 1 million in Ethiopia, but not including those killed in the Great Flood and Sodom and Gomorrah.

Satan killed only 10, the sons and daughters of Job, and he was egged on by God in doing that.

Yes, God is evil:

1. God created everything.
2. Therefore he created Satan.
3. Creation of an evil entity by itself constitutes an evil act.
4. Those who commit evil are evil.
5. Therefore, God is evil.

Further, since God is evil and is the Supreme Being of evil, and since Satan is evil and is the Supreme Being of evil, one can then conclude that God is Satan.

For that reason, I do not believe that either God or Satan exist. They do not play a role in my personal philosophy.

God is not evil, God is Good! :)

God created everything and IS everything.

I think your question touches upon what happend in the Garden of Eden. What really happend there?

Adam and Eve were not to eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. What does that really mean to eat of that Tree?

It means that they make gods of themselves. it means that they think they don't have to listen to do God and His Laws. They got the Idea that they didn't need God and that they could decide just fine what is good and bad for them.

And God said, "you think so? Ok, have it your way and we see how it goes"

So here we are. We can decide what is good and bad for ourselves and reap what we sow. We have free will. We can use our lives to do exactly what we want.

We can see that the result is not so good. You're right, suffering, pain, rape, murdering, abuse, etc. is going on but it is our doing.

Why blame God? We're to blame.

When humanity had enough of all this suffering and tribulation they will turn around toward God. God's Laws are not because He is arrogant and thinks He is better and wants us to worship Him because He has big ego etc. No, what God demands He demands because it is good for us. If we don't listen the result doesn't turn out pretty as can be seen.

My God is not evil, but the scripture teaches us that God created that ability for evil to exist. If you think about it, the fact that God created free will - he in all his wisdom new that free will would bring a choice of doing what is right and doing what is wrong. He still went along with his plan knowing full well what the outcome would be after Adam and Eve fell. God doesn't tolerate evil, he wants all to live in peace and in love. But if you don't agree with God's method of morality, it is easy for evil to slip in and destroy a lot of good people as we have seen throughout our world. It's not God's will for people to starve and inncoent people murder, that is the choice of people who don't want to follow God's way. Don't make the mistake of interpreting someone's evil ways as God's vindication on mankind - that is not God, that is the Devil's plan to thwart God's message of love.

i totally get what you are saying...i personally was very into religion until i was 2 years old and i learned how there isnt peace on earth and not all people give respect and tolerance while they are respected and tolerated and not all people get respect and tolerance when they give others respect and tolerance...personally i dont believe in god knowing that people who have nothing dont complain while others who have everything complain about having nothing....i dont have faith in god anymore for letting people suffer....thats why i became an activist on my own to help the unfortunate people who are ignored by thier own faith....i do believe we learn from others but i also believe they deserve better for teaching me...dont worry you dont sound antifaith...you are just taking a stand on a very contraversial issue

only an evil G-d would give humans life but no free will. do i think G-d is happy about the things humans do? no way. but its up to us to change the world for the better, not G-d. its our world, we made it this way, and we have to fix it.

besides, think logically. if G-d intervened, what would happen? the world would just return to hell in a handbasket in no time. we would not have learned anything at all. but when people wise up, and take an active part in peace, we learn proactively that there are other ways to live, and that peace IS possible for humanity.

Read Genesis chapter 1. When God made everything, He said it was good. Then when Adam sinned, he turned ownership of the world over to Satan. But Satan is a defeated foe, and one day, God will restore the world to it's full glory.

No, God is not Evil. What you speak of is called freewill. In other words God gives all of us the free will to make our own decisions, regardless of the outcome. The decisions we make, we will be judged on at a later time.

I think that if there is a god. It's probably not something anyone on earth can concieve. Jury is still out for me. I don't know if there is a god. but you can't really blame it for the stupidity of humans. likewise you can't thank it for human acheivement or dumb luck.

Not evil but a God of Judgment! God and Satan are playing chess and you are caught in the middle like it or not! So while you are still in the game fight with everything you got! Have fun!
