miniDV. Memory stick would cost too much per data and DVD are too bulky.

If you plan to edit your videos or make short films, MiniDV is still the standard and the way to go. Hard Drive and Flash-memory based cameras are still fairly new, so the selection of models and features are still very limited, and they still tend to be less of a value than MiniDV cameras. And MiniDV tapes are more affordable and readily available than flash memory in terms of the amount of video (taking into account quality as well as amount of time) you can put away. All the higher-end prosumer cameras are still MiniDV; hard-drive based and flash memory camcorders are for early adopters and gadgeteers, and DVD's are for casual vacation videos that you don't plan to edit.

Mini DV is TOO MUCH of a bother to download, edit and write a DVD. It takes a lot of nowhow with computers but delivers the best quality video. A good DVD is easy and fast. Buy Sony DVD, they have the best lenses and the best shake proofs. Dont buy 3ccd.

You should buy one of those hard drive video cameras. If you cannot afford that (they are expensive), I'd suggest the mini DV. They're cheaper than the DVD cameras, but still produce high quality and are easy to use.
