OMG people....of course I.D means IDendtification. I think she means what if it is a particular type of identification.
As the Q is under the EDUCATION section my 1st selection would be using a number or alpha-numeric code the school gave you similar to an old high school ID number.
My old graduate school ID (modified) was OUGS-GS1000-MPA77. For University of Oklahoma Graduate School - alpha numeric code (AD 1000) and degree type & year of graduation (MPA77).
That or a standard number used is one specigic to you; like your Soscial Security Number which is always 9 digits....123-456-789.
