I am still in love with my ex- but he won't even consider dating me again because he thinks I am messing with his mind I guess. He has admited that he still loves me.... but I dont know how long I can wait... or should wait.... so my question is: if you really love someone how long should you wait for them?

There is no exact time. If he still loves you, as you say, then you need to give it time.. Lots of time.. to show him he can trust you again. Don't pressure him to be your boyfriend again. Just go out and do "friend" things; dinner, movies, etc, and get to know him again.

You say you don't know how long you can wait; maybe that's what scares him? That you're impatient?

If you really think there's a shot, just wait. Be patient.

I have been in that same situation but she was waiting for me. Then she finally stopped waiting after 3 months, and got a new boyfriend. Now she's happy, and i tried getting back with her but now she woun't take me back.

Are you IN-Love or just love him???? What was the break up for??? think about that. No one ever changes except for themselves. Is he worth it. Wait, but don't be consumed by it. It will happen only if BOTH OF YOU want it....other wise let go and let god!!! Best wishes,,,,and sorry for your broken heart.

if you really truly see yourself with this person for the rest of your life, wait around for a while unless you meet someone you like even more. if you dont see yourself with him forever, only wait for a while. no use wasting time over it!

Dont wait on him. Let him find himself and his own life. You have to realize it may not be with you. Move one.
If you really truly love him then you want him to be happy. Dont be selfish and only want him with you.
