It is legal to display no matter where you live in the USA. Some people won't be happy to see it up .. but legally, no problem ! Good luck ! :)

No, I have one in my room, and thats where it stays. I don't fly it to the public for a few reasons.
Not that I think its racist or wrong or shameful, but because it hurts people for some reason. I know the truth behind the flag. I had family on both sides but the victors are the ones who write the history books. Its also a symbol of a proud and humble people and time so I don't think its something that we should just flaunt carelessly. It doesn't belong on bumber stickers or windows or just draped about it should be treated just like our American flag. Its also just too controversial and you will never be able to explain it to people who don't understand.
I also believe that we are Americans and I think we should be more proud of that flag. So what I'm simply saying is that the stars and bars should be something you are proud of in your head and heart not just displayed for ignorant pride its special.

It is perfectly within your rights of free speech as an American citizen, which makes it ironic that you would wish to exercise those rights by displaying the flag of those who treasonably took arms against the government that ensures your right to do so. Maybe it's the slave-holding, not the treason, that you think is worth honoring? It's poor taste and a sign of profound ignorance, but you certainly have the legal right to be tasteless and ignorant, if you prefer.

Yeah, it's legal to fly it. The better question is why WOULD you fly it? The Confederates LOST! It's like flying the Union Jack even though the British lost the Revolutionary War. Or flying the flag of the Soviet Union. THAT country had backwards ideas doesn't exist anymore either.

It's not illegal and it's not racist. The civil war was fought over states rights not slavery. Most people in the south didn't support slavery and most didn't have slaves. Who were the people who wanted to genocide the native Americans and started the Civil War.

You can display any flag you want. Nazi Flag, Baby Killer Flag, Gay Flag, anything. And it is not law that you must fly the US Flag higher than others, just respect and patriotism.
