gee i wonder. maybe because it is a natural product that mother nature crates not a something made and processed by a machine with pollutants

If the stickwas on the ground and you put it back on the ground then its not littering. But, if you get a stick from somewhere else and then put it on the ground, that would be littering

It depends on where you are at, and what type of stick you throw down, as to whether or not it is littering.
