check around with the local junk yards and impound lots, they usually got some for that that run and are in decent shape...
I am without a car or much money and I am saving up for one and have seen many for around $200 through $1500
good luck

I don't know where you live but you could check with your local police department and see when there next auto auction is...They sell decent cars fairly cheap...I bought a 92 Nissan Sentra about 6 years ago from an auction I owned it for 3 years before selling it... It had no major mechanical problem I just had to do the routine maintenance on it... It cost me $380..... If you can't go to one of those auctions you could check your local paper they should have auto ads in it....Just remember that you get what you pay for... With that little money the car probably wont be that great to look at... And it could have problems.... Don;t forget that you have to pay property tax and sales tax in most states after you purchase a vehicle... You'll also have to pay to get it registered....(In some states)

I don't think that you will find a car that is that cheap and runs good you would want to bring up the price because I'm pretty sure that if you do find you It will not last long

Speaking from experience, I would aim higher. A $250 car will likely cost you even more in repairs. You may find a diamond in the rough, but you're more likely to find a 'lemon' in the rough.

It would be a piece of trash. You'll have to spend more to get it to run. You might want to save some cash and at least get $2000. Or you can look for alternatives to fit your needs e.g Scooter / Gas Powered Razor, Bike ....Cheap Motorbike, etc

sturdy question. very comparable to asking what's the fee of freedom. in my view i do no longer think in a perpetual state of hapiness and that i in basic terms have confidence contained in the opportunity of relative hapiness. yet very comparable to freedom comes on the fee of a lot war, blood, and men, so happiness comes via a lot suffering and suffering , and emotional angst. In those situations however the end result's worth it, alongside with a lot found out alongside the way.

for that price, it's not worth it. you'd be throwing your money away.
you could get a car for that and the only thing you could do with it is sell sledgemhammer whacks at it for a dollar a piece.
Maybe a moped for that price would be viable. I don't think you even need a license for those.

That would be either Bike or Nike. At $250 it probably wouldn't even have an engine.

look in newspaper for budget wheels
keep ears/eyes open for a relative getting rid of a old car
expect to invest at least $600 into it immediately
