It is just part of his learning experience. Nothing to be concerned about at this time. It is part of his sequencing ability. It will eventually aid in his speech process, and mathematical abilities if things progress naturally. He may eventually stop repeating the last word of every sentence and start repeating other words in a sentence. He is experimenting with language, sound, the way the word feels when he says it, and possibly your reaction to this new ability. Encourage him to talk even if he is simply repeating things. Repetition is part of the learning process. He is expanding his cognitive ablilites-brain function.

Sounds funny but my child (18 months) has suddenly started to repeat words like "Car Car".
He was prefectly capable of saying "Car" for the last few weeks.
I think it is because he is excited about using the words and knowing he has it right.
This is a normal part of development as far as I am concerned.
If there are any other aspects to this change and/or any other developmental milestones are not being reached it would be good to talk to you doctor.

He's playing with words and sounds. He's got a whole new skill, and he wants to practice.
