My first time making wine but I don't know where to buy Campden Tablets. Do I have to go to a winemaking retailer or can I get them somewhere else?

They are dangerous and banned by the United States government. If you're outside the United States, check on the legality where you are. Even if they're legal, they're still dangerous.

Campden tablets are neither dangerous NOR banned. You get them at your local homebrew supply shop. It's sodium metabisulfite, and the tablets are a convenient pre-measured form...you can also get it as a loose powder.

Here's a location in Philly: http://www.homesweethomebrew.com/
You can order them from http://www.morebeer.com/ (fantastic array of supplies and know-how)
