There are many options you can do like sneeze over your shoulder which is what I did while cutting hair as often one will get into the sinuses which is natural for the body to try to expel. The little pieces of hair float everywhere.
You can sneeze into your clothing. I always have some reciept in my purse it may not work good but it works ok.
If someone is bothering you at work you can do it close to their face so they leave it works I did it accidentally once. Fortunately they were bothering me.
Shake hands with people you do not like afterwards.
Actually sneeze into your hand do not use that hand try to use the one that you do not normally use to open doors etc.

Abort the sneeze. Its easy to do by kind of closing your throat (or something). People say it isn't good to do that, but it has served me and a number of people I know well for decades.
Then - if you're ever outside in the fresh air alone - live it up and let yourself sneeze.
I don't see the hand as a great place for sneezing into, personally; and although I'll cough into the crook of my arm, I'd never sneeze into it. Maybe just make sure you always have tissues if you can't stop your sneezes in their tracks.

Well, if you find a washroom handy you would go and wash your hands, but the deed is done! I guess it will prevent you passing on the germs to anyone or anything you may come in contact with, IF you have a cold.
When you sneeze, you do happen to spray milions of germs in the air - even if you try to cover your nose. So no need to get so worried!

Well, if you don't have a tissue or a hanky close by, you sneeze into your hand(s), say "Excuse me," or "Pardon me," and find a place to wash your hands. If you're lucky, there may be some hand sanitizer around!

first when you bout to sneeze reach for a kleenex then go wash you hands . Have fun

You are supposed to reach for a Kleenex and then when you are finished, wash your hands immediately.

I carry a hankie but can't always get it out in time but it seems the be the appropriate think to do

That would be good if everyone did. While it may seem impractical, it would be awesome if disease could be reduced by better hygiene.
Many conditions have improved with better hygiene. Blepharitis, Hordeolum, Keratitis, Trachoma and other infections can be reduced. And these are just the eye diseases.

Sneeze into your arm so you don't get any germs on your hands to spread around. It helps to carry a hand sanitizer with you also.

You should immediately wash your hands whether you're in public or not.
