You buy one of those big fancy rotissiery smoker and you buy a piece of meat called a "brisket point".Its gotta be specially trimmed for the smoker tho.Have them leave the fat on both sides of it least a 1/4in thick they will have to pull the "brisket point" off the "brisket plate special to do this otherwise one side of the "point" will be to lean.Toss it in the smoker for 6 to 12 hours not sure on the time it takes then slice it real thin put it on the bun and charge an arm and a leg for it.Oh yeh and before you smoke it give it a spice rub.

Well, the best idea would be:

Hamburgers, hotdogs, sausages, chili, corn on the cob, popcorn, chips, potato and macaroni salads, soda, sports drinks, water, brownies, cookies, apples, oranges, and grapes.

These are the most common picnic type food, are easiest to set up and sell, they typically make less of a mess for your customers and are the least expensive.

Good luck!

Hot dogs usually sell well if you can set up the equipment for that. Cinnamon buns and other baked goods and coffee are popular. Consider a variety of sandwiches made on good bread - multigrain, flax, rye, etc. How about individually wrapped ice cream treats (drumsticks, creamsicles, etc.) if you can set up a freezer? Chips, chocolate bars, candy, gum will sell for sure, as well as soda. You can't usually go wrong with donuts.

I hope your stand does well!

Home made cookies are always a favorite. Brownies might also sell. If you put nuts in them be sure you tell the buyers.

If it's still going to be warm where you are, you should consider renting a snow-cone maker. Sell them for two bucks each....you'll make a killing. Other than the machine, ice and syrup are pretty cheap.

Large pretzels? Something easy to eat and can be carried around in one hand.
