Actually it first depends on how much fun u can afford to have lol because its such a blast here. I've lived here all my life. It can be exspensive but it depends on what you do where you go and how you plan on traveling. If you gonna rent a car then have that figure and look on a website to get a idea how much u will spend renting if that it. If its Mass Transit you will use to get around then thats about 27 bucks a week for a weekly metro card. I'd recommend that you bring atleast $500.00 but if you could afford to bring more then bring $1000.00. I think that should do it for 10 days. I live here and i spend about $25-100 a day depending on what i eat and where i go.

NY is expensive. Don't even think about bringing anything less then $500. So if you can afford to bring more then i suggest you bring $2000.00. If ya wanna have a great time.

I can suggest many places for you to go and even get in free lounges, bars, clubs, all for free. Plenty of things to do here. You can contact me fore more info.
Hope i've helped ya some.

I live in New York.... If you are like most tourists that like shopping I would suggest having credit or debit cards at your disposal, notice I didnt say cash because depending on your interests I cant really give you an accurate figure, If your like most of the tourists that I came accross and like dining out, taking tours and enjoying the nightlife between 500-1000 dollars should cut it. Hope this helps.

Bring a good enough amount, in New York there's a lot of places to go shop at and stuff-so bring a large amount but not all of your savings in your bank account. Watch your purse though, people will mug you in New York if they know you got a butt load of money in your bag.

Depends on your spending level, of course, and whether you are staying in Manhattan. It's as cheap or expensive as your habits.

You can eat at McD for a couple of dollars, but if you want to eat at restaurants in Manhattan, you can assume that everything is 40-50% more expensive than in rural areas.
