no if we started doing that kind of thing we would never have school or go to work. Honey it is just another day,. that something very bad happened to us in our past. We should recognize it with a salute or moment of silence to think about it so we do not forget the ones we lost and how, but we must not dwell on the past. we must move forward. I know you just wanted a day off from school, but it is more than that, and you do know it I am sure.

convinced, it will be a holiday. If Columbus were given an afternoon, ya know, even as he got here upon the community American Indians that already lived contained in the U. S., and then gave all of them blankets lined in Smallpox to my poeple in change for glass beads. besides- convinced, 9/11 must be a holiday to shop in ideas those we lost, like Veterans Day.

No - the schools in Rhode Island will all be open on September 11th - I believe that is true for most states - I heard NYC might close their schools - but that is all.

Are they closed for Pearl Harbor? No. They'll probably just have a moment of silence. Doesn't really matter for me, I'm 23.
