1/2 cup of mini marshmallows is about 1oz and 4 large marshmallows is about 1 oz. Therefore 2 cups mini marshmallows is equal to 4 oz which is equal to 16 large marshmallows.

two cups is two cups. it doesn't matter how big or small they are to start. just make sure you dont have too many gaps in the measuring cup with the large ones.. maybe toss in a couple extra to cover.
