Hello, I now know that most girl that have a boyfriend will officially make out, screw, or mess around with my brother. I just don't understand it, it makes me think that the next girl I am serious with will just cheat anyway, or lie to me. so might as well not get attached. What do you guys think of this? It's true, he's been with 10 girls in the last 2 months, 5 of those had "serious" boyfriends where they were going out at least a year and a half. I just don't understand it.

btw i am NOT saying my brother has ever screwed my girlfriend, he would never do such a thing. I've just grown to not trust my girlfriend anymore

It's definitely better for her to tell the truth about it than it is to lie about it. If she lies about it and you take the relationship to the next level (i.e. engagement or marriage) you're now committed to a dishonest person.
In regards to your original question/statement, "serious" means different things to different people. Just because those girls had been dating other guys for the last year and a half, doesn't necessarily mean they considered themselves to be exclusive.

Unfortunately we have all had bad relationships and seen some people who lie and cheat. Be upfront with whom ever you are with about your intentions and what a relationship means to you. Not everybody lies and cheats. But when you let them get away with it, they will do it again. You will lose a lot of respect for people who do, as you should. It even sounds like you have lost some respect for your brother as well. I know you love him but that has nothing to do with respect and honer.
That's life. Do the best you can, and surround yourself with good people.

the next girl u get involved with might not cheat on you give the benefit of the doubt, not evryoune is like that. its best if the person is up front about cheating and not lie then its up to the other individual to forgive and move on.

let your girlfriend tell you what she can without hurting you or destroying your ego; Are you serious? Are you engaged?
Until you are officially engaged, and promised to be wed to you,
then doesn't she have the freedom to date who she wants.
and that goes for your brother too.
People are human, need support; nobody's perfect. . . but in an ongoing relationship, you have to work it all out I guess.

its better if she flat out tells you because if she lied and you found out about it which would hurt more , if that she lied about cheatin or that she flat out told you , is what you are saying if you do not trust ur girl friend , my boyfriend had cheated on me and after i found out that he did , i never ever cheated and ever since that he got caught he never trusted me , or are you saying that you cheated and dont trust her well im gettin mixed up so i hope you find ur answer toodles
