If you get an F on your report card once in a subject, and later on you get an F again in the same subject do you get held back, if you get one F and the rest of the year you get A's and B's, do you still get held back? I was wondering because I had a bad start already this year but I'm trying to get my grade up.

Well I would say no if you get A's and B's and one F that you would not get held back. It is up to the individual teacher though what happens, Usually it is the semester grade that can sink or swim a person. LIke if you get an F this 9 wk grading period and then a B on the next 9 wksit will average out o a C on your report card and then you make another F the following 9 wks and a nother B the last 9 weeks it will average out to another C and C +C = C
But a teacher does not have to pass you just because of points. she has the option to pass or hold back because of other issues as well, but most won't.

All schools have different rules regarding if you will fail a grade or not. If you are failing 50% of your classes or failing a required class for that grade you will most likely be held back, but it depends on your school.

Ok well theres 4 semesters in school so...
if u get one F but the rest A's and B's on the SAME subject then u dont get left back.
2F's= i think u still pass. just make sure u dont get low like C or D.
I havent gotten letter grades since Elementary School, i get number grades now so its easier so me to just do math to find out but i recommend try not to slack off. Try to get at least all B's.

in order to fail u need to fail at least 2 or more otherwise if u only fail one class u still pass. it can also depend on your school call them up and ask. and if you are in high school failing one class is okay cuz in most cases they allow u to fail some classes and u still have minumum credits to graduate i hope this helps you
