What program are you interested in 0-6 or a 2+4. If applying for 0-6, take all the sciences, and get a very high ACT score. With 2+4, look at what the individual college requirements. In short, the requirements are heavy in the sciences. Some of the 2+4 schools, have early admission programs.

First step; learn to spell graduating. Second step; take advanced math (higher than Algebra 2) and science classes (Chemistry or higher) AP classes would also be a good thing too. But since you're so close to graduation I would suggest you keep your grades up and not get senioritis. Take he SAT and ACT and get an above average. Also you should start applying to colleges as soon as possible. You want to have your applications in before the deadline. A degre ein pharmacy requires 2-3 years of prerequisite work as well as 2-4 years of PharmD work, and then you have to pass your pharmacist test. Pros and cons are touchy things. It depends on who you ask and what type of pharmacist you are. If you work at a drug store the work would be 'easy' and you'd mainly have to do paper work type things. If you work in a hospital you would be responsible for patients dosages and their diets as well as making sure they receive their medication on time. A major pro is the money. My friend Cesar makes $113 an hour at the hospital. You can get more if you work graveyard shifts.

The best advice I can give you is to find a qualified school that offers a pharmacy program. There you will find the outline of every class that you need so you will get direct information from the school. Most all schools, have class outlines on line for future students as well as current students. You may want to take all the science classes you can and retake that chemistry class for a better grade. They strictly look at grades for this program.

You will need a degree from a College of Pharmacy. Call one and ask to speak to admissions. They will be glad to tell you.

Your high school counselor should be able to help you with your question. I hear that's a good profession to get into. Best wishes!
