It depends on you. You can have a pure bred pitbull and it won't be mean depending on your tlc and training... as any other breed.

No dog is mean just because it's a pit bull. It's all in how you raise the puppy. The only problem with pit bulls is they tend to be aggressive to other dogs, but this can usually be prevented with lots of socializing to other dogs at a young age. A great dane mixed with pit bull will probably make a wonderful pet, as long as you are a good doggie parent.

If you socialize the puppies properly ,it should make a great mix of puppies. If you plan on this ,why would you breed a Dane with a Pit?

No - dogs who are thought to be mean - are just naturally aggressive - meaning they play rougher = make sense? if you raise an aggressive dog mean then they will be a mean dog - pits are GREAT pets and so are Great Danes i have a Dane and they are very laid back and relaxed - if the Dane is the female be ready to have lots of pups - they can produce 12 to 18 - if you do breed them i think you will have a cute lil mutt litter - with some awesome colors - but dogs only become mean when the owners make them that way

Probably not. We have a 12 yr. old female pitbull that we love very much. She has always been, and continues to be, a sweet and loving dog. She has brought much joy to our lives. She has never bitten a person or another dog. I believe that most dogs respond to kindness. But I realize that any dog has the ability to suddenly attack. Please remember that Pitbull's jaws have tremendous strength and Pitbulls often are adopted by crazy people that only want them for fighting. Also remember that most of the public has a very negative image of Pitbulls. My opinion to not to breed the Great Dane with a Pitbull. But if you already have please make sure that the puppies only go to good people (also families without small children). Good Luck!

First of all, why would you deliberately want to create a cross breed like that? Definitely not a very smart idea.

The puppies temperaments would, of course, depend on the parents' temperaments. If both parents have good temperaments and their parents before them, so will the puppies - it's genetics.

It all depends on how you treat the parents and the puppies. If you are nice and don't train them to kill they won't. I know someone with a Doberman Pincher and it just LOVES people it doesn't bark unless it is scared to go down the stairs. lol. But if you treat them nicely they will be loyal and trustworthy pets.

it isnt neccesarily the breed of the dog but the way you raise the puppy, i wouldnt recommend testing this around children though. but it is really how you treat and train the puppy

It all depends on how the puppy/dog is treated in your home. Sure, all dogs go through mood swings, but generally if you are nice to the dog then it will be nice back to you.
