Dodge Dakota. It's not exactly a little one, but you can get them for a good price, and they are built as tough as the full size trucks. The V-6 engine will get around 18-20 mpg (if you don't drive like an idiot). The last one I owned (2wd) had 147000 miles when I sold it, and it drove like new. My current one (4wd) has 158,000 miles and drives very smooth and solid. The only trouble I've had was a broken wire and an air conditioning coil. I pull a large trailer, farm wagons, etc.

Stay away from Ford Ranger.
Toyota will last forever also, if you can fit inside of it.

bypass with the Ford. The F-one hundred fifty or 250 are wonderful vehicles. the recent F-one hundred fifty has been referred to as the proper %.-up truck EVER! you may in no way bypass incorrect with the Ford. Toyota and Nissan do their proper to reproduction the F series, yet they nevertheless fall short. Chevy and keep away from are basically taking area in styling video games. they are not made besides.

I got two Ford Rangers, a 2004 and a 2005, great pick up trucks, got each one for about 13,000. not a problem out of either, bu it sounds like you are looking to get a used one. For used i'de recomend the Toyota, as they are even more reliable than my ford i hear. C.

Chevy Colorado or GM Canyon. Or a Ford Ranger if you can get a good deal in it.

I looked at the Tacoma - but thought it was a bit pricey. I think the V6 Nissan Frontier is a better bet.
