What he really needs is a good fitting pair of hiking boots, and a vacation to the green world to go with them...he's working to hard!!

I work for a bank and spend the majority of my time on my feet as well. The floor is not so cushy. I have invested in a pair of Doc Marten's -- and they come in a variety of styles, so no worry about finding a good dress casual shoe. Keep in mind that they take a little bit to break in, but then they conform to your foot and keep you nice and comfy for standing, walking, or whatever!
Also -- try Dr. Scholl's inserts! They can also be very helpful!

I know exactly what he needs. My husband walks around all day, too, but he also needs shoes that aren't athletic ones--they have to look professional. So you should get Borns. They have all kinds of styles, and they are around $100, but they are very well worth it. My husband now has 2 pairs, and he won't wear anything else to work. Really, try Born shoes. I'd be really surprised if he didn't like them. They do, however, take one or two days to break in and conform to your feet; after that, it's all good!

First, comfortable ones, and that's on a shoe by shoe basis. Second, he can't go too casual since he's a professional man. Look for rubber soles, and smooth fitting uppers. Also take into account what socks and inserts he might wear- is there anything to that gellin' commercial?

I am a teacher and we work on hard surface floors too. I have found that Clarks are great for me. I also find it important to have more that one pair to wear and try not to wear the same pair two days in a row. And hiking socks with this cool support band built in around the arch area...great for lots of walking...kinda holds the arch together all day.

My husband worked at Boeing for years and swore by Ecco shoes. He likes the high top variety but Ecco has allot of different styles. They aren't cheap but they are VERY good shoes. If you live near a Nordstrom's, they carry them and have a great shoe policy.
Good luck and Goddess Bless!

Leather shoes with good arch supports. That will keep his back from suffering and should improve his posture too. If your body is out of alignment it will make every bone in your body ache.
