WEll, i just got out the navy like 2 months ago and hated it. cause i had a job called a deck seaman ***** boy job, but i still was interested going into a reserve type of deal, but not the navy. DO you think im crazy if still wana check out anothe branch like the AIr National guard??? I wanted something like Aerial gunner or somthing.....i dont have the gi bill, cause i got messed over.....but i do got that hazle wood act where you getin your tuition paid for upto 150 hours in texas..... Dont know how much is that equivalent to...is that a degree?. Hows the National guard, Do you think i should stay put an give civilian life another chance....its so hard to get a job. People think im loco for tryin to go back, an even worse as a Aerial gunner....but it looks fun........ Wha ya think? i think i just need to transition a little.....lol. Do aerial gunners deploy alot??

Do something useful like Army or Marines, hell even the Air Force!!!! Air National Gaurd?!?!?! What do they do? You might as well join cub scout troop #9. Aerial gunner? Like that will spell big bucks when you get out!!

you should've stayed in the navy, but picked a different job. of course you hated it 'cause you had the worse job in the navy. I would have hated it, too! now as for deployments you can be deployed at any time when you are in the military. i was a corpsman and was never deployed, but that doesn't mean that I couldn't have. I volunteered and that is the risk you take. I could have been taking vital signs in some pampered Navy hospital one day and been in the sand w/ the marines the next. It is just a chance you take. If you are so worried about deploying maybe you should just stay a civilian.

1 if you don't want to deploy don't join

2 if you want aerial gunnery, join the Army Aviation branch, 15T MOS

3. No your not crazy

4. Military is Military, active or reserve you will still have the piss boy jobs till you get some rank, thats just the facts.

join the navy reserves you wont get deployed as much as the national guard and get a better job in the navy.

150 credit hours is more than enough to get a bachelors, it only takes 128 credit hours for that, but you wouldnt want to take any extra classes that dont pertain to your degree.
