mmmm well let's see. i'm sure you already know of the legal problems with that so i'll keep that part brief. a SEXUAL relationship with a 17 year-old and 13-year-old is ILLIGAL. WHETHER YOU'RE IN LOVE OR NOT. i'm not saying your wrong but that's what the law says so remember that.
another problem is no matter how mature you are as a thirteen year-old you ARE NOT on the same level as a 17-year-old. they are driving , thinking about college possibly, and probably into things that you WOULD NOT feel comfortable doing.
third of all, if you do have sex with a guy/girl that is that much older that you then you run the risk of that person dumping you afterwards and breaking your heart.
i'm going to honest. althought not all of these type of relationships end badly, from what i've seen most do. whether someone ends up in jail or someone gets their heart broken it is still bad for ALL parties involved. if you can't wait till you're older to start a sexual relationship with a guy/girl that is significantly older than you, then at least make a informed dicision.

Plenty! A 13-year-old girl is too young to date a 17-year-old boy who is much more experienced and likely to coerce her into having sex before she's ready to handle the emotional level of it. Besides, there's always the ever-present monsters of pregnancy and STD's. I'm sure the girl's parents wouldn't want her to date anyone yet, especially a boy that's four years older. If it were my daughter, I'd definitely say no dating until she's at least 16, and then with someone closer to her age. Yeah, I know I'm an old prude and a fuddyduddy. But that's my opinion.

Well, coming from a 17 year old girl I would say check with her parents first and make sure it is ok with them and tell them what you want out of the relationship (companionship, a best friend, whatever it is) because if the parents are not on board this relationship could land you in some serious trouble. And then if her parents are ok with it, I would tell her how you feel, but I would at first hint about it at first so you won't freak her out and then when you know you are in love I would tell her. I would also make sure she know that you are not out to take advantage of her or anything of the sort.

So i take it stephanie your 13 and the guy you like is 17,
I'm 27 and i know that there were anumber of people when i was those ages that had relationships like that, just depends on how mature you both are.
however if you guys "do anything" once he is past 18 he can go to jail for that if your parents find out and they call the cops. Something to keep in mind.

Plain and Simply ... 2 things.
1. the 13yr old isn't ready for a relationship yet. for an intimate one of that sort. you've only started to become a young lady you have to allow yourself time to grow .with those around you of your own age.
2. Jail bate. ... if he were to be sexual with you that it can lead to pregnancy. and you would both have to have a parent permission to do anything espcially the 13yr old.
and or since of your ages. your parents could be put in jail for allowing this to happen.
it clearly is in not worth it. if you too liked eachother he'd be willing to wait till your 18 and out of your parents house. or she in the matter. though that would make him a lot older but that way you can experience your life in all stages and things .
don't do it. and don't let your parents let you do it. not sure if this is parent who is asking this or a kid. this the 13yr old or the 17yrs your both old enough to know better. just in different levels of understanding.
enjoy life take it day bye day and don't rush into love or committement till you've experienced all that you want.

a 13 year old shouldnt even be allowed to date yet! It depends on if the guy is trustworthy enough to know no problems will occur.

if the grl turns into 14 and the guy turns into 18, so the guy is going to go to jail...period. Unless u want to keep the relationship low...

still legal, but make sure the girl stays safe. the guy is gonna be more mature and more advanced also. just make sure she knows wut she's doing.
