margarine was developed to fatten livestock, and has virtually no nutritional value.. it is considered to be chemically close to plastic..
try this.. put a tub of margarine in a cool, dry, dark place.. it will not rot or get moldy because there is no food value to support any kind of growth..

Pure butter...look for the ingredients on the side...less is best. Too many strange ingredients and chemicals in margarine for it to be healthy as far as I'm concerned. Also, butter tastes better. When I am cooking (not baking) I use butter mixed with olive oil so it is not as fattening.

Butter in moderation is always better. Margerine is chemical. Natural foods are always best. In moderation as long as you eat right and exerises you will be just fine.

Butter is better! Margarine has got so much gross stuff in it. Like was said above, it is almost plastic.

Margarine is one molecule away from being plastic!
Butter is from natural sources (dairy) and not made from chemicals.
