My wife to be and I both started attending a Baptist church in 1979. She lived 9 miles to the west of it,I lived 11 miles to the east. I suppose we hardly noticed one another to start with, but then we realised we both liked to talk about issues related to faith.Lorraine ran a bookstall in one part of the church after the evening service, and I guess I was always there perusing the books. In 1981 I decided I wanted a wife. There were 4 single eligible girls in the church. I decided to take each one out on a date in turn and see what transpired. The first girl I found was spoken for,the second girl I took out and learnt she wasn't ready for a relationship. So I took Lorraine out to a pub and basically proposed to her while we were there. She didn't say yes there and then, but a few days later said yes.
Looking back I don't really know why I approached the other two girls, because with hindsight Lorraine was obviously the one.I believe God was in charge of the whole thing. It is strange because Lorraine passed away a year ago,so I am now back to square one so to speak.

PS I have to say that you are extremely good-looking.I wish you all the best.

I was driving without a license. My friend Cindy and I were bringing a birthday gift to a male friend of ours. It was February 5th, below zero, and I was sitting behind the wheel trying to drum up the courage to drive back through town. Doing things illegally will do that to me. I saw two specks in the wintry night making their way across a snowy field. Cindy and I watched as two guys made their way towards us. The big tall guy hopped up onto the hood of the car and peered into the windshield at me. I opened the window and asked him if he had a license and he said yes. So, I asked him if he would drive us home and my mother would bring him back up there. He said he would and I fell right then and there. In love I mean. Cindy had a couple of hours of babysitting to do before we could go home, and the guys came with us. I went to the store for soft drinks, and while I was gone, my guy threw up in the sink and paid the kids not to tell me. They told me. He was drunk and I didn't have a clue. I just HAD to marry the guy! I just realized that this won't give you any help at all! LOL! Ah well, just enjoy the romance.

I met my fiance at work - i moved back home when i was done with college - and i started working at this outdoors place and when i met him a just had to have him - those were the exact words going through my head i was in a relationship already of 3 years but i broke up with him (we weren't doing good anyways) and asked that guy out the 3rd day of me working there and 6 months later we were engaged! No one can tell you where to go meet someone - it just happens - its weird i was always one of those people who thought that i would just meet a guy and we would just happen to end up getting married i didn't believe in love at first sight or "the one" until it hit me in the face - don't look for it and it will happen if you try and look for it you will never find it - Fate is weird and sneaks up on us when we arnt expecting it!!! Good luck to you Sweety - your prince will ride up on that white horse before you know it !!!! :)

Love is weird that way. It happens when you are not looking for it. I found my wife...actually she found me. I was dragged to a club with a friend, and ironically so was she. She saw my come in the door from a distance and she made her move on me. We have been together for 7 years now. True story. : )

So I guess my advice is...go about your normal business. Enjoy life, learn new things. And in the process, you will meet a guy that will see that you are content and stable...and that will be attractive to him. : )

Hope this helps

I have a fallen in and out of love in a span of 2 years. It all good in the beginning, you get everything you want then stuff go downhill from there.
Relationships are what you make it and the effort you put in it. Love is two way street.

I found love in my life when I stopped looking for it. I had been through relationship after relationship and no luck with love. I finally just started living for myself and enjoying my time alone. It was great to have time to think "I don't need anyone, I just need me." When I finally felt that I was actually happy with my life and myself, Tada! I met the love of my life. I literally just bumped into her and didn't even try to pick up on her. We just clicked. Ive never been happier. It just happens. There's no right place, or time, or even thing to say. It just happens when it happens. :)

I'll never forget the first time I saw her...she was all by herself. She looked neglected, as though the years had not been kind to her. She had a story to tell, and I was her captive audience.

I met my girlfriend online through another girl. We clicked instantly and realized we were in love a short time later. It's been nearly 3 years and we are still in love. My advice to you is not to try so hard to find love. Let love find you, that is what happened to me. Good luck!
