Sex when completed between two opposit sex people who love, honor , cherish , and respect each other is not a sin. However, when done strictly for self gratification and no thought is given to the meaning behind the act then you might as well be an animal in heat and just pick a rutting season and go with it.

Sex is not a sin unless it is performed outside marital bonds. What happens when unmarried people have sex?
-pregnancy
-disease
-broken hearts
-feelings of contempt
-regret
-etc

It is rare that an unmarried couple remain together after sex, and oftentimes one or many children are involved. This leaves innocent, helpless babies in the middle of broken homes, poverty, hunger, illnesses, lacking one parent or another, exposure to drugs, prostitution, abuse, etc. If every person (married or not) were to remain monogamous, would STD's exist? And if a couple WERE able to remain monogamous, why not get married?

There is no guarantee that even married couples are immune to these problems, however it is much, much less likely.

When you look at the situation as a whole, rather than on an individual basis (by which many mistakenly do and end up in these situations thinking that they would be able to handle it) you can start to see the problems that occur because of it and it makes more sense why it would be forbidden before marriage.

Sex as such is not a sin, but sex before the marriage is considered to be a sin. It is because when one has sex with another person you and that person becomes one spiritualy. Now imagine if a person slept with multiple people, that can cause some dangerous stuff.

Its not the act of making love or sex that is concidered the sin, but the timing and way in which it is done.......In the bible God made sex to be between a married man and woman......in society today we teach that premartial sex is ok....its not..... giving someone your purity isnt a decision you should take lightly. Look at it this way......why on earth would you want to sleep with all the wrong guys to get to the right one.....the one who you will spend your life with? I know I sure dont want to do that and wont.....Im gonna wait until marriage for my first time making love......then I will know that it will be with the one I will be with for the rest of my life.

God wants making love to be a precious, beautiful thing for you and your life long partner......He does not however want sex to be abused and in today's society with premartial sex, teaching of homosexuality as an alternative life style and so on......making love has been abused and we are told that by society as long as we use condoms or the pill its ok or that its fun and feels good so that makes it ok......but its not.

Let me ask you this..... would you rather feel good for those brief few minutes or feel good knowing that you didnt throw yourself, your dignitity, self respect and purity away on one moment that might end up the biggest mistake of your life?

So, you see its not that God is against sex or making love or conciders it a sin.... its how man goes about doing it and when they do it that is concidered sin in the eyes of God......He wants us each to save ourselves of our marriage beds ......not defile ourselves by sleeping around.

Sex is a sin anywhere outside of marriage because God blessed sex when he made Adam and Eve the first couple.

Biblically, sex is NOT sinful when placed in its proper context. Only illicit sex is. In fact, the Song of Solomon is extremely erotic, and represents the relationship God wants with us. That's right, folks, God wants sex!
