Tanning does help psoriasis but you have to be careful not to burn because burning can cause the plaques to get worse. If I may say this please...Don't let this depress you. It is a skin disease but it won't hurt you, it won't kill you and it won't make you sick, I see people every day with this problem who have come to terms with it and realize that stressing about it does them no good. I know depression is not something that can be turned off with a push of a button but try talking with someone about it, maybe it will help. Good luck to you.

Cure psoriasis starting today - even if your doctor or dermatologist says "it's impossible!"
I've just followed a guide called psoriasis free for life that completely cured me of this debilitating and embarrassing disease in less than a month!
Remember, this will not only treat the symptoms that you do see:
the red, inflamed itchy skin.
The silvery scales that seem to erupt for no reason.
The burning or bleeding that occurs around your joints.
The cracking, oozing and painful patches on your skin.
But it also treats the underlying cause of psoriasis - the part you don't see - the actual immune system deficiency that causes these itchy patches to appear and scale over.
For more information, check here : http://Psoriasis.naturallysaver.com .
You can definitely get back your life, your confidence and your self esteem!

I was diagnosed with psoriasis at age 14 and now I am 36 years old. You can say that I have tried just about every medicine both approved by FDA and trial without much success. Examples include Enbrel, Humira, oral meds, creams, oils, salts, coal tar, etc and the list is much more extensive that I can't even remember all of the names. But recently after someone shared this video https://tr.im/psoriasisTreatment2015PoFc everything has changed. My psoriasis completely cleared by putting these changes in place. I only wish I'd taken photos of before and after because it truly has been miraculous. I am getting married in Oct, 2015 and I am wearing a strapless gown that also shows my back and I am confident (not like before) that my skin will be soft and pretty vs red and flakey.

Psoriasis usually gets worse when we are nervous, so try to take it easy. I know it´s very uncomfortable to have any kind of disease, especially when other people can notice it. When you are down, think about many other persons who have worse illnesses... they would give anything to have only psoriasis. I have tried everything, but nothing really works. Sun exposure helps a little and lately, some natural mineral treatments I got from the Dead Sea are working....The problem is getting them. My problem is on my scalp so I´m using a mineral hair mask.
Dead Sea products
Mineral Care
Spa
Treatment Line
My sister-in-law is using a body lotion (same product brand) on knees and arms and it is helping her a lot!
When I have no product with me, I use Denorex Shampoo and on my neck: Baby oil!

You can use Dr Wheatgrass Recovery Cream or Spray. It's cream/spray derived from organically grown wheatgrass. These products work wonders and is very effective. Dr. Reynolds invented the product and has been successfully treating this patients since 1995 with these products. As far as allergic reactions go, this product is made from wheatgrass, the same thing that bread is made of. It's also gluten free. I believe it's approved for people of all ages (from infants to adults) because it's a natural product. You can check out his website for more information and testimonials.

The bad news is, you can't "get rid" of it, it's a skin condition. Keep the areas clean and moisturized. If you have access to calendula flowers, mash some up, mix with vegetable shortening ( 1 cup shortening to about 5 flowers) and apply this to the areas.
This will help, but you have to use it regularly.

Unfortunately, you can't. I am sorry you are suffering. But you can ease your symptoms but using Aveeno lotion on fresh out of the shower skin, taking benedryl, and wearing loose warn clothing. I was covered head to toe and it took 5-6 weeks for my body to clear, and I was one of the lucky ones because it did clear. Now I just have patches on my scalp and elbow and back. Visit http://www.psoriasis.org/community/forum/ for others with this condition. They can help. Good luck, Please go to the website, they were a great source of information and support.

Salicylic acid at least 2% (acne cream) and coal tar (anti-dandruff shampoo) can be used. Both can be found over the counter, however you cannot use salicylic acid over large portions of your body. You can also use hydrocortisone.
