Christian parents would not allow their children to listen to marilyn manson, because what agreement or harmony is there between Jesus Christ & Satan?

If I would allow that, God would spank me, their mother big time.

i am not christian .. however i do believe in God and am religious

my wonderful , beautiful daughter loves mansons music
she is a goth
and is one of the most amazing kids you will ever meet
she is studying hard at school to go on to university to study child psychology and is extremly concerned with fair trade in the world and better conditions for the third world countries
she is a great friend to many in her school
and very responsible and intelligent

its only music .. yes i know it has rude words etc
but i trust that my girl is sensible enough to know right from wrong
and she has proven me right so far

let kids be kids .. i know that growing up i was a right little rebel .. but i turned out pretty good

I'm a Christian and I listen to Marilyn Manson. I don't think what you listen to affects the kind of person you are. I mean it's just music. If you're going to take music to heart and mind then you're just a zombie uncapable of making your own moral decisions.

No I would not let my child listen to them ,but I would explain why I felt that way because teens an children feel sometimes we are judging them when actually we are protecting them ,buy them some Christian music ! I'm a Christian myself an I have one child that listens to mostly Christian music ,some country but never hard rock !!

No way my mom doesn't care what I listen to and I choose not to listen to Marilyn Manson tell your kids to read the bible thats what i did and I only listen to music that has a good meaning in the music and I'm only 17 years old. there is such a thing as Christian Metal and thats what i listen to go to wikipedia.org and type in list of christian metal bands and it will give you a list of christian metal bands that your kids can listen to

p.s. good for you in finding Jesus Christ for some they find him too late

No I would not allow my child to listen to any secular music. I've been there myself and done that. People do not realize the damage that this music causes people. It all starts with what the child sees the parents do at home anyway...If the parents don't do it, then there is a better chance that the child won't WANT to do it.

That name and many others are not allowed in our house.

Alas you said "let" What they do when they are outside of our influence is between them and God.

Although I do admit going into my car that my daughter was being allowed to use freely and going through her "burnt" CDs and using the banned ones for target practice. She was not happy but knew why it was being done.

Can you stop them from doing it? It was hard for me, but I did not use cohesion or punishment. I was patient and prayed a lot and basically discussed it with my kid.

She finally understood that this Marilyn character is a clown.
