You are young, either chronologically or emotionally, probably both. You admire authority figures, particularly if they are of high status. You may have had a less than ideal relationship with your father, or felt that he was not of high status or could give you the attention you needed.
It would be unlawful for your doctor to get personally involved with any patient. He would be arrested, lose his license in addition to his family and respect of his peers. If you care about him in a mature way, you would not want these things to happen to him, I hope.
My advice is to get busy with school and community/charity activities or a very demanding job. Meet lots of other people. Read a good, lengthy and complex book. Give it some time, but above all, do NOT confront him with your feelings. Humans, unlike lower animals have the ability to feel one way and act another. I suggest you use this skill. He would be well within his rights to terminate the doctor/patient or any relationship with you if you tell him this information, and it would embarrass you the rest of your life.

By the way is completely illegal and unethical for doctors to get involved in a physical/romantic relationship with a patient. He could loose his license. Get away from him and start some new activities to have most of your time occupied. A busy mind don't think bull*****. Go volunteer somewhere...
