Puppies start losing theri baby teeth around 3-4 months of age. They usually all fall out on theri own. Many times they aren't seen since the pup often simply swallows them.

Normally all the puppies change thier dental pieces from 2 to 6-7 months of age, and the baby teeth have to fall off on their own, displaced by the growing permanent dental pieces. When a puppy has ¨retained¨baby teeth, they have to be removed as soon as possible to avoid future problems.

My lab puppy is 3 months old now and he still has his teeth..ouch!! But seriously, most loose them between 3-5 months of age. Most of the time, they will fall out themselves, usually while your dog is chewing on a rawhide, playing tug or some other kind of activity. I have only had to pull 1 tooth and that was from my bullmastiff. It was just hanging there and she couldn't get it out, so i just pulled it and she seemed to be thankful it was gone.
Don't worry about them unless they seem to be decaying or something of that sort. Nature will take care of it. Good luck!!

Aren't those lab puppies cute as hell at that age?
Anyway, they fall out on their own as a rule, sometimes, needing assistance...best way to do that, provided a vet isn't needed for serious cases like impacted teeth, is to simply use a towel to "wrestle" with him/her, you know how they like to chew/fight over a towel/rag, and, during the struggle, the ones that need the help will get it during the natural course of play...

They particular do have toddler tooth! fortunate you're searching them the following and there, because maximum dogs will basically swallow them in the adventure that they have got not fallen out of their mouths ( swallowing them received't kill them, both :) also--do not panic in case you word those little not straightforward, white issues contained in the stool; which will ensue, too. it truly is kind of exciting to dangle onto a pair of the bigger toddler tooth and evaluate them hostile to the guy tooth that are available in--that's a actual eye-opener on how a lot your doggy's going to toughen. except you word ( or scent) something that appears like an infection the position the tooth have fallen out, you do not want to bypass to the vet. Redness is popular; draining pus desires to be regarded at; this occurs very hardly ever. basically ensure the dogs's getting a multitude of sparkling water to shop the mouth sparkling besides as being hydrated and provide threat-free toys to gnaw on to satisfy the urge to chew which will proceed like loopy till teething is executed. Chewing on ice cubes is likewise useful on your teething doggy.

i don't recall how long my lab kept her baby teeth .. she's 8 now ... but i do have the first one she ever lost in a little charm box!! (goofy .. i know)
i never remember having to pull them .. they just came out on their own when she chewed on the chew toys that i gave her.
labs LOVE to chew so remember to always have plenty of chew toys around!
