Both are good and have different advantages and disadvantages though I am no expert. It is always a good idea to vary your diet (swith back and forth). I grew up pcking prunes and just love them, in N CA. til the grapes overran the prunes. Figs are very nutgritious and the dried figs are irrestible .

For me Prunes is better. But I like Figs that you get not in a bag but just seperately at the store.

Both are excellent but just eight prunes a day give you all the anti oxidants you need for 24 hours. They are full of flavinoids as well which should help prevent heart attacks and break up sticky platelets.

There's not a lot of difference healthwise. They both contain iron, fructose and rather too much roughage.
