Both of my boys have email accounts through YAHOO, and it's hard to monitor, but with him being a minor yahoo used to verify age, etc....do not place anything in his personal profile, except his name...no birthdate, address, nothing. I monitor my kids emails, and I know thier passwords and ID's. They know if they violate any of the rules, I will keep them off the computer. Set your internet site settings differently for him. When your computer turns on have two separate log in settings, one for you because you are the administrator, and one for him. Make sure his internet settings is set to be highly monitored, and where certain sites are not allowed as well.

You can always go on AOL they have parental controls so you can control who and what kind of emails your son is getting from and who he is contacting. You can also go to Best Buy or Office Max and ask for software that protects your child against internet predators
