With free will comes accountability.
No one goes to hell. hell is the grave
he put life and death before us.
Some get to live forever on the earth some don't.

Not all Christians believe in hell. Besides, if there is such a state, why would God create hell if there was noone to "go" there?
God probably has a good reason to "create" atheists - some of the best scientists have been atheists, who may never have progressed far in science had they been otherwise. God can use the unbeliever if God so chooses.
Some believe hell is a temporal rather than an eternal "punishment" (I prefer cleansing), kind of like purgatory.

If you admit that we have free will, you've pretty much got your answer already, but you should also consider that sometimes the people who use their free will to reject God can be used by God nevertheless to have a very positive impact on those who use their free will to accept God. For example, Pharoah rejected God of his own free will a number of times, but God used Pharoah's every rejection as a reason to demonstrate to both the Israelites and to the Eqyptians His saving power. If Pharoah hadn't been there to offer such resistance to God's people, we would never have seen God's power so marvelously demonstrated in the Ten Plagues he levied upon Egypt. So, even people who ultimately are going to hell can be used of God to good ends.

your right forget free will, that's what people say when they can't answer your question and they think it makes them smart. The truth is they are a necessity to the journey you take on this planet, just as God knows they will go to hell he also knows there evil ,and they are put in your path according to the grand design Its like an opstical course, you can only make the decision which path you'll take ,some tests you will fail and others you will succeed. This is how you get to heaven,or hell.If every one went straight to heaven then life would have no purpose. So try to make the right choses,do no harm and you will be rewarded.

Free Choice God gives you chances all throught out your life to have a relationship with Him if you choose not to it's your fault not God's and besides there are no real atheists just people who believe in God but wanna do their own thing. If they choose to go to hell only they are to blame!!

What if hell wasn't permanent. What if hell was something not forced on someone by God, but something chosen by oneself? What if one can then walk out of their self-made prison, since it has always been locked from the inside?
a really interesting book addressing this question from a unique perspective is "The Great Divorce" by C.S. Lewis
very short. terrific book.

God gave you free will to choose Heaven or Hell.
Because we all act the way we want, and God knows sometimes it takes us some time to know him, God gives us clues, and things are done for a reason, but God wants to know where your heart is with him. And when we do get closer we are tested sometimes to our limits, God's is stringing you, teaching you, although he wants it to be your choice, God wants you to choose him.
Yes God knows ahead a time where we will end up, only if he wants to search that far ahead. I don't think he normally wants to know that far a head, cause he wants to work with us, he knows we all have the ability to change.
What do you think they are all sitting up there in Heaven playing games.... they have PLANS, the place is much bigger than earth, they have more intelligence, they don't fight with one another, they have schooling, teaching, and plans for us down here, they're working up their, except they enjoy it, spiritually they are working here, but they want you to figure it all out, they don't want you to think your going to sneak in Heaven, they want you to work on it... do you want God or the Satan that's the bottom line____

My great-grandmother would turn the stove on... and tell me not to touch it... she didn't want me to touch it... she hoped I wouldn't touch it... but invariably, once in a great while, I touched it... and even as she was tending to my burn she would say "I just knew you were gonna touch that stove... didn't I tell you not to?"
She also had a candy jar sitting on her dining room table... which she told me not to touch... and one afternoon while everyone was in the backyard, I went inside to use the restroom... on the way back out... I decided to try to sneak some candy out... and from outside she yelled... GET OUT OF THAT CANDY JAR.
What you have to remember is: God did not design hell FOR us... in fact, he doesn't WANT us to go there... but like any parent, even though he knows the choices we are going to make, He still hopes for us to come to him and avoid the punishment that is to come.
So ... SURE... He already KNOWS who is going to choose to go to Hell... but that doesn't stop him from hoping.

Ask him.
People aren't given 100% access to the mind of God. But he may answer your questions if you ask in humility and faithfulness.
