You can make it but you will have to make yourself slow down and concentrate very hard. Why would you have to stop the medication? It is not something that should stop you from passing a physical for a new job.

Aside from the medication, start practicing relaxation. Look up progressive relaxation or relaxation imagery on the internet. Ask me why, and you know the answer.

how old are you?

i'm 27 and was diagnosed as having adhd, You don't need that stuff, I've taken rytalin, dexedrin and much other crap that din't work well at all except for narly side effects, First of all find out if you actually have the disorder, like probably 1 in 4 who is given the medication actaully has it. I do just fine in life today without those stupid costly medications

Well, 1st, you need to not be so negative about this. Try to think positive, give yourself the benefit of the doubt. Think of this as a good opportunity to see how you can do without your meds. If you feel yourself loosing control, tell your teacher what is happening. I tell my son that ADD is no excuse for doing things he KNOWS is wrong, so don't let that be your excuse.

You can go with out it. It sounds like you've been too dependent on it. And yes, I've been ADD forever. The thing to remember is that you have to keep your mind busy. We're too prone to boredom. You may surprise yourself.

I would recommend that you read the book "is your child's brain starving?" by Dr. Michael Lyons in there are alternatives to the medicine. They may not work ,but it is at least an option for you to look at.

You will be ok a few days without your med, just try not to get stressed out. You should try to get back into it though as soon as you can.
