think about it, that girl has probably been on the team for 2 years or 3 years already, she has earn her playing time. You are only a sophomore you will get full playing time next year so don't sweat it. It is such a big deal for seniors to play, thats their last year playing so just let her be happy and support your team. if you are better than her than your coach will put you in when she needs you.

How is the team doing? Remember, it's still a team sport. However, if you are better, your coach should put you in when the team needs you to win.
It may be that in the long term it's the right thing to do (give her playing time). If you're still winning and the senior is trying to prepare for college, she can get more playing time without hurting the team.
Also, a lot of coaches have a rule that you don't lose your starting position due to injury. If that's the case, be happy you're still getting the playing time you have.

Sometimes seniors get cut a little slack because it is their last chance to play at this level, and possibly an opportunity for them to get a college scholarship. If she didn't play, she would'y have this chance, and you have 2 more years to play on this team and to get scouted for scholarships. So stop complaining, who knows, when you are a senior, you might be complaining about a sophomore who is taking your spot on the floor.
Being part of a team means that you don't get to be a prima donna, you don't get to be a super star and you don't get all the attention. You are a TEAM, not individuals playing together. So be a team and take the bench if that's what the coach wants from you.

if the other girl is better than you , all you can really do is keep trying hard and maybe on a blowout game you can show the coach what you can do
if the other girl is worse than you i suggest talking to the coach

Sorry to hear it. You must not be as good as the player they're playing instead. Sometimes the truth will set you free.
