I have a female cat named Max. I don't like girly names. I think that your names are good. Plus, I love Gremlins.

Gizmo is kinda male but Smudge is pretty unisex. Ultimately it doesnt matter. I have a male cat whose name is China and another that is Washu. Both are kinda female names but hey they answer to them

I think that the names are just fine. I used to have a girl cat named Chester, which is a male name.
