I always get GREAT results from weight lifting but after a month or two I lose motivation and stop. Then I am mad at my self a month later when I have lost what I have gained and start going again.

On the shallow level: I can wear whatever I want.

But I also just feel better. I have a lot more energy during the day and I actually sleep better after exercising.

Well there are a few techniques that help but it all really rests on you. One of the things I like to do is make working out a 'job'. It has to be done like a chore or yardwork or etc.
Another thing is to vary your workout. If you get tired of jogging, try biking or cross training. Get a gym membership in the winter months and join a league or get some ppl to play sports with you several times a week.
The third thing, either get a workout partner or a pet like a dog. A dog will always need to go out and following the previous statement, it makes it a 'job' to go out with the dog.

I find that a workout buddy helps a LOT. I go to the gym with my friend a few times a week, and it's really doing wonders for motivating each other. There's nothing like someone calling you every other day and saying "let's get off our asses!"

What keeps me motivated is knowing that working out consistently gives me more energy in my everyday life. When I go a couple days without exercising, I feel more tired and less happy.
