The answer would depend on what kind of staples are in your ear and why. If they are the kind of staples used like stitches by doctors for very severe wounds, you obviously cannot take them out at home.

If that is not the case, it leads one to question, again, why on earth you might have any other kind of staples in your ear????

If it is the large industrial staples, get them removed by the doctor, and get a tetanus shot, unless you have had one recently.

If it is the kind of staples you would get from a hand stapler for documents, you COULD probably remove them at home, but you should still immediately go to the doctor anyway for a tetanus shot, so there's not much point in doing it yourself.

Basically, go to the doctor.

STAPLES NO! do not remove staples yourself it will take the doc about two seconds. We have a special tool that takes them out. If it is sutures it would be different.

Were they put in in place of stitches? DO NOT try to take them out yourself! There's a remover tool you need to keep from ripping your skin and needing more. Go back to the ER or doctor who put them in or your regular doctor.

no, go to the doctor, don't listen to anyone who says it. ears are very a very tender part of your body, and you need to treat them with great respect. Pay the bill! Go to the hospital! Don't risk your hearing.
