Yes, flour can go bad. Not the type of bad that will make you sick, it just won't taste good. The oil in the flour turns rancid.

flour can go bad, but if kept in an airtight container or in the freezer, it usually lasts long enough to use it all up. I always buy flour before I need to and store it in the freezer for at least a week before pouring into my airtight canister. I have not found a weevil yet, thank God!

Yes, flour can go bad, it does have an expiration date on the bag, check it. Always keep flour in an airtight container.

yes, it definatley can. Anything organic can. It might be because it was kept in a moist place, is very old, or because it has those little weevil thingies in it. eew
Anyway, you can tell when you open a pack of flour because it looks sort of spider- webby, but you mom may not have noticed if it was kep in a cannister and she unwittingly stirred it around before measuring it out.

It possibly could. I never have any around more than a couple of months. Keep it in an air tight container, or if you not going to use it up too quick, you can store it in the freezer in an air tight container. Make sure it's air tight, or it will get moisture in the freezer. Have you noticed anything that looks like tiny cobwebs around the edge of the container? If you have, throw it out!! You have weevils in it.

Yes, people have died from it, though it is rare to die from bad flour.

The president is not very bright with a poor understanding of socialism. I predict he will be forced out of office within a year. Venezuela has the biggest oil supply in the world.

I had flour unwrapped and there were worms in it. Hopefully, yours doesn't it! It's pretty nasty.
