Recently, over the summer, I made friends with this guy I've known. He's a very flirty person. He went to NC over the summer and brought my friend and me back presents. He is best friends with my other friend, so I wondered why he got me a present too? He got me flowers and he gave my friend a book. Whenever we are at a party we always end up talking to each other. We talk on the phone occasionly. I was 1 of 4 people he told about his mother's death. He told me that I'm pretty, intelligent, mature, and the most interesting person he knows. He hugs me randomly or just touches me. He has recently told me, and only me really, that he 'likes' someone. He said that he is friends with her, she is mature, she is his age, she is pretty, and that she isn't the average girl. I asked him if it was me and he said no. Then the next day he told me that he 'might' have lied. All the signs seem to be there, but I don't know why he would lie to me. I'm not a pushover. What is he trying to do?

i think hes playing games and playing hard to get so i would forget him he had his chance to say yes when you asked him if was a decent genuine guy he would have told you there and then not play games hes sounds like a playa to me

he's playing with you. this guy is an accomplished flirt. when a guy tells you that he likes someone, and he doesn't tell you who it is, assume it's some other chick. he sounds immature to me, and just likes to flirt. "might" have lied sounds "mighty" lame.
